Aaron Grant (Aaron T. Grant, Jr.) was born on July 3, 1908 in Roane County, Tennessee. After going to high school at Maryville (TN), Grant attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Grant made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Portsmouth Spartans. He played for the Portsmouth Spartans for his entire 1 year career.
