A little rant from yours truly... Dan Kriegshauser

Hello! Is anyone home, or in the dugout? How in the hell does Dave Duncan continue to let Izzy throw that freaking cutter? It is the worst pitch in baseball, without a question. He has blown six saves this year and every single one has been blown because of a spinning cutter. Mr. Isringhausen has one of the best, if not the best curveballs in baseball and still throws between 92-95 mph on the gun, but he insists on throwing that cutter. I fault the pitching coach Dave Duncan, for letting that pitch even be let available for Jason to throw. If the Cardinals are going to go anywhere this year it will have to be with number 44 closing games, so I really hope he realizes the cutter is dog crap and he needs to put it in the pooper scooper, for the rest of his major league career.
As I said two weeks ago, on the Saturday Sports Edge with Jeff Vernetti and Jeff Gordon… I believed Mark Mulder was hurt and that is why he was struggling …then I had some moron that doesn’t know baseball (Matt Glenn) try telling me that he was feeling fine, because he threw a good game against the Mets. Hey Dream Job loser… look outside the box… if Mulder can’t throw over 86mph and can’t throw his curveball for a strike with any bite, their just might be something wrong!
I wasn’t shy about my dislike for Sir Sidney when we signed him… I said he would be gone before July… well he would have been except Mulder got hurt and the Cardinals needed him to out of desperation to throw today… if he blows up today he will be gone… On the other hand, I said Mulder would win the CY YOUNG… Whoops!
One last thing… Since the Florida Marlins are looking to dump payroll… Walt Jocketty should propose Anthony Reyes and Adam Wainwright for D-TRAIN and Miguel Cabrera… it sounds off the wall, but the Marlins would be getting two major league ready pitchers and would be able to dump money… I think the St. Louis Cardinals would have to give up Duncan, or someone of that stature… Of course people are going to say I am crazy, but that would be a great deal for the Cardinals… All they would be doing would be getting rid of the set-up man for one of the best hitters in baseball and a starter for CY YOUNG caliber pitcher… I know that these young phenoms are also of the CY caliber, but give it a shot.
