Why do people think Russell is the next Warren Moon, or the black Peyton Manning. What similarities does he have to these 2 great QBs? NONE...well except race when compared to Moon. Russell has bad work ethic, he struggles in accuracy and reading zone coverage. He's huge, a staggering 6'6" 263 lbs. Defensive players are going to chop at the boy's knees! He's not the brightest star in the sky and he doesn't have the "great"(I can't say this with a straight face) Randy Moss to throw too. His WR core looks weaker than my Eagles core! His offensive line is going to have him on his back more than Madonna at the VMAs. Here's to the next (black) Ryan Leaf!
Brady Quinn is probably the most NFL ready QB from the draft, playing for Charlie Weis (who was under the tutelage of Bill belichik who, need I remind you has 3 rings with the Pats and I believe 1 with the Giants.) People think he can't win the big game, when in fact, look at his defense. He's no Peyton Manning, he can't carry a team on his own and make up for his defense's lackluster performance. He can only carry that team so far. The Browns got a HUGE steal at #22 with him. Not only do I think he has the POTENTIAL (capp'd for all you people who will burn me for this) Hall of Famer, he has a franchise tackle in Joe Thomas with whom he can grow with, and a superb WR in Braylon Edwards. Barring Edwards doesn't crack some skulls up in hurr!
Last, but not least, the stupidity award goes too...Jacksonville Jaguars! Who released Pro Bowl safety Donovan Darius today. Not only was he their #1 pick 10 years ago, he has played more games than any defensive player in jaguar history, and pretty steady and consistently. Accumulating 614 total tackles, 2 sacks, 14 INTs and 35 pass deflections. He was a well rounded player who could stop the run and cover the pass. Apparently, 3rd year pro Gerald Sensabaugh, will stpe in for the starting spot. All I can say is, WTF m8!
