So Reggie Bush is threatening to holdout for the season and re-enter the NFL Draft in 2007. This could mean only one the, Means only one thing…It’s Christmas in July as NFL training camps open around the country, time for contract negotiations. Yes, Santa Claus does really exist. So is this real news? Isn’t this an annual ploy in which some high lottery draft pick pulls to squeeze out ever last cent of the owner of the team…Not that they really can’t afford it. What’s wrong those Subway sandwiches aren’t cutting it for you anymore? You can’t afford prime rib? Yeah, the $5 million in the bank from multiple endorsement deals is a bitch slap in the face
Hate to inform you of this Reggie, but you aren’t the first person that pulled these lame shenanigans. Granted, I agree with the NFL source who said, “No player has ever had the kind of leverage that Reggie Bush has right now,” and to think this bozo makes big time bread for stating the obvious. Everybody knows, (including us peons in the LastRow, who scrape together our hard earned money just so we can support all the overpaid crybabies) that it’s very unlikely you’re going to sit out. Are we really supposed to believe this HOG WASH? What? Are you the John Elway of 2006? You have a secret baseball career we don’t know about? However, this publicity stunt shouldn’t go unnoticed & I’m sure it won’t. Trey Wingo & the boys will be all over this story like white on rice, you do like rice Reggie…There’s a big helping coming your way?
Here’s some inside information Bush: negotiations are a part of the NFL…You’re not in SO. CAL anymore. Nobody at this level is going to stop, bow down to you and kiss your ass like Pete Carroll did. Besides, you are definitely in the wrong place to be pulling this shit. I know you come from LALA land out there on the west coast, but have you ever heard of a storm named Hurricane Katrina? Yeah, only one of the worst natural disasters to ever happen to the U.S., it hit New Orleans. Although, I must’ve forgot…USC football players don’t have to attend class, just show up Saturday and win. However, I would’ve thought that fancy upscale house your family lived in was furnished with televisions to watch the horror in the Big Easy last year…Guess the TV’s were an extra luxury you guys didn’t pay for either? Couldn’t afford it?
What is it with the city of New Orleans and a guy named Bush? Must run in the family tree somewhere…Leaving these poor folks high and dry. Reggie has worked hard to endear himself to fans in the city after it came out that he didn't want to play in New Orleans. Bush has made multiple donations to hurricane relief. That’s so nice of you to do, provide them with free Subway sandwiches after you trash their city again…Well done Mr. 619. Though, you do have one legitimate backer in New Orleans (if you can call him such), hated owner Tom Benson loves you.
The Saints have already set a franchise record for season-ticket sales, having topped 55,000 at that time...Sure, you should get a cut of that right? It’s all because of you. The people of New Orleans don’t have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of, but when it comes to their Saints, money’s no object. Far cry from you and Tom Benson. His unpopularity in New Orleans stems from his hard-line negotiations with the city and state to constant threats that he will move the team & now you’re complaining about not getting enough money…Two peas in a pod. Perhaps you should get out of LALA land along with that Hollywood mentality and start taking a look around your new surroundings…For this is the Real World. Thousands of people died there last summer, and now you're complaining about not getting paid enough thousands in your bank account? Although, I wouldn’t want you to be on food stamps from your lack of cheese & bread, but if that happens perhaps some of the locals can guide you in the right direction to cash in those stamps…For that’s their daily lives.
