A Dream Come To Fruition

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was kicked by a man in Euston station. The Ferg had traveled to London by train to attend a function, and was repeatedly kicked in the shins by a 40 year old man. Sir Alex pointed the man out to British Transport Police who arrested him. He has been charged with assault, actual bodily harm, and a public order offense. The Ferg was unharmed and attended the aforementioned event as scheduled.

Not that Odds and Sods would ever promote wanton acts of public violence, but would the thought not at least cross your mind if you saw him in public?

His name is Kevin Reynolds if you want to send a thankyou card...taking pleasure from another's misfortune....just the reaction I would expect from a Gooner fan.

It wasn't other people's misfortunes, it was Alex Ferguson's, there's a difference. And it isn't like he got seriously hurt or anything, lighten up.

"The Chosen One" would definetely be given some consideration for a quick swift kick but no not Sir Alex, even though I do not like United, I have to respect Sir Alex.

I give him credit for following through on it at least. Unlike that Tottenham fan who got on the field and whiffed when he tried to punch Lampard.

It takes balls to go after Lamplard. One swift kick and he could easily cripple you for life.

In the Guardian it was reported that it wasn't a kick in the shins, but a punch in the balls. At least that's what the perp admitted to. The guy said he didn't know it was Fergie, he though it was someone who looked like him...like that makes a difference.

punch in the balls is uncalled for, no matter who it is. Or who they look like.
