A Cricket Grows in Brooklyn

India versus Australia. In Brooklyn. Playing cricket.

Sound too silly to be true? Think again. The two national teams will face off sometime in the summer of 2007, likely at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn. The Field was the U.S.'s first municipal airport, and has since been converted into a sports complex.

No news has yet been reported as to how to buy tickets.

A cricket match in the United States is the ICC's attempt to globalise the sport. It should be a good game though, that I recommend you to go and see.
