Points accumulated during the Preseason will not count once the season begins. YES< you can still join! BUT THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE! Follow the bouncing ball, and you're in...
Here's APL Preseason Week 2
Here's the answer key:
SEA 19 - OAK - 14
- ARI 3 - DEN 21
- SF 13 - SD 16
- BAL 10 - ATL 13
- IND 6 - CIN 14
Tampa Bay Devil Rays - won easily. [{Carlos Pena hit more homeruns by himself than the Yankees did as a team.
Jimmie Johnson won the race, if you had Carl Edwards (like I did), Kyle Busch or Jeff Burton, you got the point value you assigned to the answer.
And if you had PHX, you were right. I screwed up the wording to the question but the Mercury made sure it didn't matter.
So how'd everyone do? Well it's pre-season, so who cares!
Preseason Week 2 shakes down like this:
Manny Stiles' Gang of Weird Shift Buttons - 12.90 pts (that's right!)
Veronica Corningstone's Sex Panthers - 10.40 pts (way to piggyback my Edwards pick)
The King of Who Cares - 8.90 pts
Raining Champs - 6.90 pts
'Confused but Intrigued' - 6.90 pts
Davis21wylie's "Insert Tasteless Michael Vick Reference Here" Team: - 6.60 pts
'Long Balls' - 6.60 pts
The .44 Magnums - 5.60 pts
"The Battling Bookworms of Bora Bora" - 5.10 pts
FP's Kool-Aid - 3.60 pts
British Lions - 2.60 pts
So preseason's over, it's time to get it on!!!
You know how to pick, or someone will show you - so you have until I post my picks (sometime before early Friday) to get your predictions in correctly (with team name and properly assigned point values or else - YOU ARE OUT!
Here is Week 1
a

- PHI v GB
- NE v NYJ
- CHI v SD
- NYG v DAL

b
Pick the fantasy football representitive of your choice - ALL players (real or fictitious) are eligible. Only points scored on yahoo's fantasy football basic settings divided by ten count towards the total.
Yes, everyone can pick the same players.
c
Assign a value of 1, 2 or 3 to each othe following predictions -
I - Who will amass more offensive yards this weekend?
LSU vs Virginia Tech? or Penn St. vs. Notre Dame
Tie breaker - points, then TV ratings, if ratings are the same - team with more letters in the names of players who scored will win.
II - Who will win WNBA Finals game #2 on Saturday? PHX or DET
III - Who will score the most runs this weekend? (Tie breakers, hits, total bases then runs allowed, hits allowed, attendance.)
Boston Red Sox against the Orioles?
New York Yankees against the Royals? or
Chicago Cubs against the Pirates?
That's it! Week one!
Happy choosing!
