I read that there are other differences between the AL and NL other than the DH. This was news to me... What are the other differences?

I have 2 favorite teams - 1 in the NL (Cubs) & 1 in the AL (Tigers)... while I have watched & listen to countless games for both teams, other than the DH, the game of baseball is played exactly the same way and with the same rules to my knowledge... with the interleague play, I have not heard or seen anything different except for the comments of "the NL teams would have a DH" and "the AL pitchers would have to get used to batting (when visiting NL parks)"...

Mm.... To quote from Tylersalt, "but they have the same rules (the DH is not the only difference between the AL and NL... I can't remember the other differences, but they're fairly minor)," So I assume there are some?

The NL, because of the pitcher batting, has small ball tendencies (no dirty puns intended... ok, maybe one). The Senior Circuit tends to do more stealing, bunting, hit and run, etc. while the AL is more of a power offense. There are of course, exceptions, but that's how things usually go.

Another difference is the first word of their name ;-)

Oh, and the teams in them. ;-D

That, and the fact that all the good players are in the AL...

because all the rich teams are in the AL, so naturally they will play in the AL

There are two differences. The DH and the number of teams -- the NL has 16 teams and the AL 14. Until a few years ago, there were a lot of other differences, such as league-specific umpiring crews and a weird rule regarding territorial rights. Those are gone now.

Ah yes, those were changed a few years ago. Right. Sorry to confuse everyone.
