Honestly, if anyone doesn't give Ohio State their number one vote after they dominated another ranked team, I won't be able to take anything they say seriously ever again. They walked all over Iowa. It was supposed to be a big test and it was a laugher. Ohio State is the best team. End of discussion.

I don't think I could agree with you more if I tried. Ohio State. Best Team In Country. Period.

I agree, but I think Iowa is overrated. I thought so two weeks ago when IState hung tough for the first half.

I will be voting OSU number one. I am convinced. That their defense is for real.

I hate to keep giving the vote to the Buckeyes, but you can't say they haven't deserved it thus far.

I agree, I hate the fact that OSU is atop the poll, but they deserve it and will continue to get my vote till proven otherwise (come on Michigan)

I'm really surprised that there are three people that still have TCU ranked after they got dismantled by a really bad BYU team. They lost by 14, and it was only even that close because TCU scored a TD with 1:55 left in the game.

It is suprising. But not as suprising as the #24 vote for Miami (until you click on the user name and see the U of M fan box and a bunch of articles on Florida football)

Well, he got outdone by JoGators, whoever that is. He ranked Miami 22nd.

Well I guess they did work their way to 2-2 with an almost loss to Houston. That's pretty sweet.

Yeah, I ranked Miami. I remember when I was a UF student and we were 1-2 after blowout losses to Tennessee and Miss St and were still ranked. The Houston game gave me pause though. USC's close call against Wazzo shouldn't have them knocked down to #4 in most of your rankings. Until someone in the PAC 10 proves that they can actually beat Southern Cal, I am not dropping them out of the title game. Notre Dame will not beat them either.

That is poor to quite poor logic, I must say. Why can't Boise State be ranked #2 then, no one beat them in their conference last year either. The rankings should express who you think the top teams are in the country, not who you think will go undefeated in conference play. They are intended to rank teams, not schedules. Just cause they may go undefeated does not necessarily warrant a top 2 spot.

I believe USC is the 2nd best team in the nation, and looking at the remainder of their schedule they are unlikely to lose. I don't believe a team that has played in the BCS title game the last 3 years and has yet to lose a game this year should be ranked #4. I may be proven wrong in the long run but right now I am keeping USC #2 until they lose or struggle at home.

If you look at the previous rankings, the close call didn't "drop" USC. They were virtually a unanimous number four team in the preceding weeks. That close call didn't drop them anywhere. At this point, you can't have them behind the likes of Auburn, Florida and Michigan, because those teams have actually won big games. USC's biggest win so far is against a Nebraska squad that I feel it very overrated. When you compare that to wins against the likes of Notre Dame and LSU, I don't know how you can have USC number two. Maybe they are the second best team in the country, but they have to prove it first.

By the way, another note on why that logic is faulty - does that mean you would have had Texas as your preseason number one? Nobody had defeated them, right?
