A.J. Johnson (Anthony Sean Johnson) was born on June 22, 1967 in Lompoc, California. After going to high school at Samuel Clemens (Schertz, TX), Johnson attended Southwest Texas State University. Johnson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1989 was A.J. Johnson's best year, as he picked off 4 passes, ran back an interception for a touchdown and had 504 kick return yards.
