A.J. Jenkins (A.J. Jenkins) was born on April 12, 1966 in Havelock, North Carolina. After going to high school at Havelock (NC), Jenkins attended California State University, Fullerton and Merced College. Jenkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1990 was A.J. Jenkins's best year.
