A.J. Hinch (Andrew Jay Hinch) was born on May 15, 1974 in Waverly, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on April 1, 1998 for the Oakland Athletics. In 1998, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 9 home runs and 35 RBI. Hinch played for the Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career.
