A-Rod or Torre?

6
Vote

It is just about certain that one of the two will not return to the Yankees in 2007, the question is however, which one? Most would have to say it would be Alex Rodriguez that will be shipped out of the Bronx, but where would he go? Today, Tuesday October, 10, the Yankees owner George Steinbrenner announced that Torre will be returning as the manageer of the Yankees in 2007. But as we all know George can be quite childish and who knows what will be the story between he and Torre next week.

Alex Rodriguez has been booed, dissed, and ridiculed all season long. It would not be a suprise if A-Rod did not return to New York next season. A likley suitor for the ten time all-star would be the Chicago Cubs. The fans in Chicago are lovers not haters like those in New York when their team is not winning. One reason is because Cubs fan do not know any different. Thus, they are called the "loveable losers". Rodriguez insists he won't waive his no-trade clause, but of course he say this. If he were to say he wanted to leave, New York fans would bash him even more than they already have.

The 2006-2007 off-season will be quite an active one for the New York Yankees. It will be interesting to see if the Bronx Bombers can turn things around and break the curse of Johnny Damon, and regain the form they had prior to aquiring Alex Rodriguez.

I disagree with this, because Torre is reportedly staying, and GM Brian Cashman said he won't trade AROD. Will that hold up? I think so. Either way, Torre goes before AROD.

Not likely ManWAGON, not likely. He is the Captain of the New York Yankees. A-hole is a hired gun, that didn't fire. He will be moved believe me, they just don't want to sound desperate.

I heard that the Yankees might look to trade A-Rod to Seattle for Adrian Beltre. Personally, I think that Rodriguez will perform better under New York pressure than Beltre will. Adrian already has enough trouble smacking 35 homeruns in Seattle, so how would you expect him to knock out 50 in New York?
