A-Rod: "I sucked."

Money is only an issue because low payroll teams like the Athletics are still playing, and Steinbrenner will probably go out and spend more money to try to get the Yankees back to the World Series, only to fail because it takes more than money to put the right pieces together for a championship team.

The reason that teams are not beating down the Yankees' door is because of the effect on the payroll from A-Rod's enourmous contract, not because A-Rod isn't immensely talented.

Yes, he had a subpar year and yes, he has been bad in the playoffs. But the criticism this guy gets is unbelievable. He won the mvp LAST YEAR! I think more than one player has had an off year, regardless of contract size.

That said, A-Rod does seem to have let the NY media and criticism effect his confidence. His mental side have hurt his physical abilities. He should hope that he gets traded to a smaller market, where fans/media will cheer his plentiful good at-bats rather than wait for a slump and pounce with boos. Yankee fans are idiots.

A-rod gets booed because of his attitude. Like i said before, giambi got booed, knobby got booed, randy got booed, moose got booed, tino got booed, even jeter got booed. a-hole needs to get over himself. don't think he will though therefore, he must leave new york.
