2010 World Cup - CAF Qualifying

African Qualifying for the 2010 World Cup with consist of 5 rounds:
- 3 ties between the six lowest ranked teams to reduce the number of teams to 48.
- 12 groups of four, with the winners and 8 runners-up advancing. The runners-up are ranked based on performance against the first and third place team in each group, as two groups only have three teams.
- 5 groups of four, with the winners advancing to the World Cup. However, South Africa (already qualified as host nation) is participating as the matches are also African Cup of Nations qualifying. Should they win the group, the runner-up will advance.
