- Miami Dolphins - GLENN DORSEY- DT-LSU- Theres gonna be talk of taking a RB in Darren McFadden or a QB in Brian Brohm, but the Dolphins have needs in other ways and wont make a mistake of drafting a "punt returner" in the top 10 of the 1st round. So with that in mind i believe they will focus on defense, in which they are getting torched this year, and will pick Glenn Dorsey. He should toughen up the D-line and form a good tandem with Jason Taylor "if" hes still there next year.
- Atlanta Falcons- BRIAN BROHM- QB- Louisville- Well the Falcons cant seem to get anything right. They trade Matt Schaub putting everything into Michael Vick and look how well that turned out. If Schaub was still with the Falcons they wouldnt be picking this high in the draft. The Falcons need immediate help at QB, Byron Leftwich, Joey Harrington, and Chris Redman are not the answer, so they will need to try and get a winner and choose Brohm.
- New York Jets- DARREN MCFADDEN- RB- ARKANSAS- The Jets might get next years version of Adrian Peterson in McFadden. The Jets will hope to get this pick so they can get McFadden instead of seeing him in conference rival New England Patriots' uniform next year. The Jets dont have a pressing need at RB with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, but they need someone be a game changer and they should get that in McFadden.
- New England Patriots (via San Francisco 49ers)- CHRIS LONG- DE- VIRGINIA- Like the Patriots have any pressing needs. I don't believe they will go 16-0 this year but only time will tell. The Patriots could use a playmaker on the D-line and they would really be unstoppable. They could also pick McFadden if he were to drop this far or take a LB in James Laurinaitis.
- St. Louis Rams- JAKE LONG- OT-MICHIGAN- The Rams have had just a terrible year, from people picking them to go far in the playoffs to being in the race to go the season without a win. They have good skill players in Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson, Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, and so on, but the defense needs help, and the offensive line needs big help too. If Orlando Pace can come back healthy, he and Long would make a great tandem, most likely playing opposite of each other. Long could add some protection for Bulger to stay healthy and open some holes for Jackson.
- Kansas City Chiefs- Phil Loadholt- OT-OKLAHOMA- The Chiefs would love to see Jake Long fall here, but i cant imagine Long not going in the top-5. They will pick the next best available OL and that would be Loadholt. The Chiefs line is starting to get some age and the running game isnt the same as it used to be.
- Oakland Raiders- Calais Campbell- DE- MIAMI- The Raiders have lots of needs, especially on the offensive side of the ball, but they D-line isnt getting any younger and Campbell would learn from mentor Warren Sapp and should be a great NFL player. The Raiders could also look at OL, WR, or LB but would be better off filling those needs later in the draft.
- Cincinnati Bengals- James Laurinaitis- LB- OHIO STATE- Well, if you based the Bengals on picking players who ended up being arrested they would get an A+. They made a good pick in Leon Hall last year and should continue picking players that will pick up the moral value of the team, and Laurenitais should do that and should become a leader on the defense.
- Baltimore Ravens- John David Booty QB- USC- Kyle Boller looked very good this week against the Patriots even though they came up short at the end, so if Boller can continue to play well they might give him another shot next year, but if he doesnt the Ravens need a change at QB ASAP. Steve McNair is over the hill and will at best only be a decent back up.
- Chicago Bears- Andre Woodson QB- Kentucky- Brian Griese is over the hill and most likely wont be with the Bears next year. Rex Grossman is on like his 47th chance to prove his worth and has his ups and mostly downs and most likely will be wearing a different uniform next year as well. Kyle Orton might as well be the QB for the rest of the season, as he'll be the only QB from this year that will be there next year. So, I believe that they will pick a QB and Woodson is their man here at the 10th pick. The bears also need help on the O-line and the secondary on defense, and i dont know how much longer they can put up with Cedric Benson's production.
- Carolina Panthers- Kenny Phillips- FS- MIAMI- The Panthers are another team with a lot of needs, but the secondary has looked very inadequate this year and needs immediate help. Phillips has looked great at Miami and the Panthers should snap him up with the #11 pick.
- Houston Texans- Malcom Jenkins- CB- OHIO STATE- The Texans season shouldn't be shown just by their record, they are a much improved team, and the offense has looked good when Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson have been healthy. Dunta Robinson is a very good corner, but they need someone to play the opposite side, and Jenkins is as NFL ready as any CB in this years draft.
- Philadelphia Eagles- DeSean Jackson- WR- CALIFORNIA- START KEVIN KOLB ALREADY!!!!! Donovan McNabb needs to be traded or released, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a Bears uniform next year. The Eagles have a good defense but the offensive side of the ball needs help. Reggie Brown is a good receiver but would be a better #2 or #3 receiver, the same goes for Kevin Curtis. Jackson is one of the top WR's in the draft and could challenge Brown and Curtis for the #1 spot.
- Denver Broncos- Dan Connor- LB- PENN STATE- The Broncos have a good secondary and a good D-line but could use help at the LB position and Connor is a top notch NFL ready player. He is just as good as last years first round pick Paul Posluszny who went late in the first round. The Broncos could also look at help at TE, OL, DE but most likely will try to fill those needs later on.
New Orleans Saints]] - Antoine Cason- CB- Arizona- As shown earlier in the season the Saints secondary was getting burnt time and time again. They could use help at almost every position on the defense as well as the O-line. Cason should push for the #2 CB spot.
- Washington Redskins- Keith Rivers- LB- USC- The Redskins would love to find a Safety at this point but i dont think there is anyone good enough left to pick this high. They do have a need at LB and would love to see Connor here as well but i think he will be gone. Rivers isnt a bad pick here though and will bring an immediate help to the defense.
- Arizona Cardinals- Sedrick Ellis- DT- USC- The defense needs help at most positions. They could use a big run stuffer in the middle and Ellis would fill in nicely. They could also look at help at CB if Cason or Jenkins were to fall this far.
- Buffalo Bills- Mario Manningham- WR- MICHIGAN- Just imagine Manninham pairing up with Lee Evans, well i guess it would help if they had someone that could throw them the ball. Trent Edwards will most likely be the starter next year and he should continue to improve. The Bills do have some other needs on the defense as well as TE, and the OL.
- Detroit Lions- Ryan Clady- OT- BOISE STATE- The Lions may end up regretting taking Calvin Johnson over Joe Thomas last year. Thomas has been the anchor of the Browns Offensive line this season. The Lions wont make that mistake again and pick Clady. Jon Kitna has been sacked more then any other QB this season, Clady should help change that immediately.
- Minnesota Vikings- Malcolm Kelly- WR- OKLAHOMA- The Vikings need help finding some playmakers on the offense. They have a GREAT!!!! combo in Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor in the backfield, but just imagine if they had a passing attack to go along with that running game. Tarvaris Jackson has been improving as the year has gone on, so I think he should be back again next year and would love to have someone to throw the ball to. Sidney Rice looks to be a good #2 or #3 WR and Troy Williamson will be a #2 at best. They would love to take Manninham here if hes still available to add a deep threat.
- Tennessee Titans- Early Doucet- WR- LSU- The Titans need help in their passing game, and honestly myself think they would be better off with a different QB. Just imagine how good they could be if they had someone like Brett Favre, Tony Romo, or Tom Brady throwing for them. Well they wont find a QB that good anytime soon and they continue to have winning seasons. Ducet should help the offense, hes not a game changer, but hes a great WR who will get plenty of yards and first downs.
- Dallas Cowboys (via Cleveland Browns) - Sam Baker- OT- USC- The Cowboys' O-line isnt get any younger and Flozell Adams has been slowing down every year for the past couple. They could also look at RB if Julius Jones doesnt return or possibly WR.
- San Diego Chargers- Rey Maualuga- LB - USC- Let the reign of the USC players to continue being picked in the first round. The Chargers have been a disappoint this year and could use someone to fill a hole in their linebacker core. Maualuga wouldnt have to go far from playing at USC to San Diego and should help immediately.
- New York Giants- Matt Ryan- QB- Boston College- If Eli Manning continues his sloppy play down the stretch this year, I think it's time for a change and if they pick a QB it might make Eli stand up and take charge. Matt Ryan is a great college player and should make an impact with who ever he plays for next year.
- Jacksonville Jaguars- James Hardy, WR, Indiana - The Jaguars have tried their luck picking WR's in the first round many times and have yet to find "THAT" player. Hardy should challenge Reggie Williams and Matt Jones for the #1 and #2 wide receiver spot.
- Seattle Seahawks- Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh- The Seahawks running game has mostly been pathetic this year and they are missing Steve Hutchinson and Walter Jones isnt getting any younger. They want some help on the line as soon as possible and make also make a shot in the free agent market to find one.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State- Besides Joey Galloway the Buccaneers dont have much other then some barely adequate WR's. They made a great improvement from going from the 4th pick last year to making the playoffs this year. They could also look at QB later in the draft because Jeff Garcia is definately not the long term QB they are looking for and Bruce Gradkowski and Luke McNown are just gonna be backups.
- Pittsburgh Steelers- Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon- After watching Willie Parker fumble time after time against the Bengals, i think they would like to have a good comfort back up with Stewart. Stewart paired with Parker could make a good 1-2 punch for the steelers just like Julius Jones and Marion Barber with the Cowboys.
- Green Bay Packers- Jack Ikegwuonu, CB, Wisconsin- The Packers CB's are great corners but are both pushing their middle 30's and Ikegwuonu would be a great addition for the future and having a great local boy from the Badgers doesn't hurt matters any either.
- Dallas Cowboys- Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas- For the 2nd year in a row the Cowboys' secondary is the weakness of the team. Anthony Henry is a good player but would be better off as the 3rd CB or possibly moved to safety. Terence Newman is one of the most underrated CB's in the league and would look even better with Talib playing opposite of him.
- San Francisco 49ers- D.J. Hall, WR, Alabama- The 49ers are very much regretting swapping picks with the Patriots and will pick at the end of the first round instead of the top. All the receivers the 49ers have now are average at best. Hall would put up a good fight for the #1 WR spot against Darrell Jackson and Ashley Lelie.
