Loyal bloggers from each NFC South team have contributed to our 2007 NFC South Football Preview. They created a preview for their teams, a win-loss prediction for each game, predicted their team MVP, and projected the final standings in the NFC South for this upcoming season. Click on each team name to visit its page and read its season preview. You’ll also find the latest news from local newspapers, team sites, and bloggers for each team.
The 2006 NFC South final standings and their record in the division:
1) New Orleans Saints 10-6 4-2
2) Carolina Panthers 8-8 5-1
3) Atlanta Falcons 7-9 3-3
4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-12 0-6
The 2006 NFC South results raise questions for the upcoming season:
Will the New Orleans Saints be the team to beat in the NFC South and the NFC? Will the offense continue to grow with its young players? Teams won’t be looking past the Saints this year. Instead, they will be targeting their games against them.
The Carolina Panthers need some offensive help in order for them to win the NFC South. Will Steve Smith receive help from his teammates on the offensive side? Can Jake Delhomme still lead this team to the playoffs? Will the defense continue to dominate for another season?
The Atlanta Falcons have gone through the worst off-season in the league. New coach Bobby Petrino has had to revamp the offense for Joey Harrington. Will Harrington be able to lead this team? Is Jerious Norwood the latest stud running back in the NFL?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers invited any quarterback willing to try out for their starting position. Will Jeff Garcia have the success he found in Philadelphia? Will John Gruden solve his offensive woes and average more than 13 points a game this season?
The bloggers have given us their division prediction:
1) New Orleans Saints
2) Carolina Panthers
3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4) Atlanta Falcons
