That's right! It's the running blog for the 2007 Mega Bowl of Chess. We can't call the Super Bowl of chess because THIS is BIGGER than anything considered "super"; and it's already a name that's taken... but NO ONE owns Mega Bowl!!! Well... except for the good folks who run the "Mega-Bowl Bowling Lanes" in Williamsburg, Michigan but they don't play chess (stinkin' checkers lovers)
The game will commence at 5:00 GMT or thereabouts (that's 5pm Big-A Time, 10am Stiles Time or Noon EST) on Sunday, January 28th on Yahoo! (room: to be announced)
You know there ain't jack squat on TV today. So here's what you've been looking for! It's UK vs USA, this time it's not Revolutionary War, but it is a pretty revolutionary battle! World renowned Chessplayer extraordinaire Captain Checkmate a.k.a. "Alex Holow-check" takes on the "World's Favorite Unkown Whack-Job" Manny "Queen Me" Stiles a.k.a. "Chess Rockwell". #1 vs. #3 on ACGM rankings, WHO will take the crown?? Who will be forced to write an article they would rather not have to? Who is clutch and who will choke? How manny excuses will the loser come up with?
Who will win? Who the hell knows? You will, if you follow along!
