Tarvaris Jackson should become the Vikings this season with starting QB with Brad Johnson gone. Jackson was a second round pick in the 2005 draft, and the Vikings appear to have their immediate future in his hands. He only started the last two games of the season, but threw for 475 yards, 2 TDs, and 4 interceptions, last year. The Vikings do have a good RB game to help take some of the pressure off of the young man, but his inexperience and the lack of any standout receivers on the roster will allow defenses to focus on stopping the run and making the Vikings beat them passing the ball. Fantasy owners in normal 10-12 owner leagues should not draft him, as I don't see him as a quality fantasy QB. If your league is a 16-20 team league or a league that requires three QBs on the roster, then he is worth consideration.
