One of the most consistent fantasy performers, Rams quarterback Marc Bulger turned in his best season in 2006. He finished with career-highs in yards (4,301) and touchdowns (24), as well completions and attempts which is ironic in that pass happy former head coach Mike Martz is no longer calling plays for the Rams. The five-year veteran out of West Virginia also finished with eight 300-yard passing games, doubling his previous season high and his eight interceptions were his lowest as a full-time starter. On the down side, Bulger's completion percentage, a very respectable 62.9, was the lowest of his career and his 7.3 yards per attempt average was down significantly from the previous two seasons as defenses were focusing on taking away the Rams downfield attack. Bulger will have a new toy to play with in former Dolphins tight end Randy McMichael and former Titans Drew Bennett comes in to help solidify the wide receiving corp. While he will just fall out of the top five quarterbacks selected in fantasy drafts, Bulger should be coming off of draft boards in the fifth round.
