After a year of waiting in the wings, Jason Campbell got his chance to start for the Redskins in 2006. And Campbell played pretty consistent, scoring at a least a touchdown in every game he played. He finished the season with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions in seven games. So Campbell produced when on the field. His biggest problem so far is his accuracy. He managed to complete just 53 percent of his passes. If he can improve on that, his numbers will go way up. Campbell has a great arm and does a good job of stretching the field, a great fit for Santana Moss. This combination could be deadly in the coming seasons. Campbell is far from a finished product, but he'll start from the get go this season, which will help aid his progress.
The Redskins have some weapons at receiver and Campbell showed flashes of good things last season, so he is definitely worth using as a backup fantasy option. And he could even be a solid spot starter or full-time starter by the end of the season. If he would have played a full season last year, Campbell would have finished with more than 20 touchdowns. He could be a surprise this season.
