Damon Huard played his way into a starting role for the Chiefs this season. He filled in for Trent Green early last season and played at a very high level, scoring 11 touchdowns to just an interception. He also was very accurate, completing 61 percent of his passes. Huard doesn't have a great arm, but does a good job of throwing to a spot and reading defenses. He proved he can overcome his weaknesses to be a productive starter. The Cheifs have a conservative, run-heavy offense, though, so don't expect Huard to get as many chances as some other quarterbacks.
Huard will be up and down and might have a hard time of matching his production from last season. But he'll be worth some spot starts in his role. Huard is capable of a big game.
