Chad Pennington returned from his second rotator cuff surgery in 2006. Most Jets fans, myself included, expected to see Pennington wearing a ball cap and holding a clipboard by week 5. Much to our amazement he came out firing and never looked back. He finished the year with 3,352 yards a single season career high. Unfortunately, he also finished the season with a career high 16 interceptions. Chad may not be a fantasy stud but he sure can get the job done. He should fill in nicely for a bye week or in the case when your starter is out a week or two. Chad should be a solid backup in most leagues.
