Despite suffering a major knee injury during the playoffs of the 2005 season, Carson Palmer didn't miss a game for the Bengals this past season. He looked a little rusty at times ? as expected ? but played at a high level most of the season and finished with fine numbers. Palmer had another 4,000-yard season and threw 28 touchdown passes compared to 13 interceptions. The only downer for Palmer were just the two 300-yard passing games. But Palmer should be even stronger this season, his second from knee surgery, so a surge in production is possible. And the Bengals continue to boast a powerful offense with Palmer leading the way.
Palmer seems a lock for 4,000 yards and should play closer to the level of 2005. He is a top-three quarterback and late-first round or second round pick.
