2006 NFL Capsules
  Introduction
NFC East
NFC North
NFC South
NFC West
AFC East
AFC North
AFC South
AFC West
Overview

Note: The ratings and rankings on this page are influenced by the Football Outsiders' DVOA methodology. So when I say that a team was ranked a certain number vs. the pass or rush, I'm referring to that system and not simple gross yardage. FYI. Image:Nflcapsules nfcwest.jpg

I agree when you said Josh Brown can kick it far but he doesn't know where it'll end up. But I think all of this is true. Let's Go Kick Some Ass Seahawks!

No wonder this division had the best punters and kickers last year - they had more practice than anybody else...

The Cardinals need a big offensive line boost to make them competitive, but because all the other parts are there, they could bypass the "8-win" tier and vault into "actual contender". But getting an o-line boost is a big "if".

I really believe that 9 wins will take this division this year. The Seahawks will suffer the post Super Bowl blues, the Cards have no o-line and a fragile QB, the Rams have not yet hit rock bottom, and the Niners are the Niners of this decade - which means they are not very good.

I agree Christof with your analysis, but can anybody in this division beat the Seahawks? After routing their own division and then beating up on the AFC North, they'll at least get 10 wins, probably 12, that's my guess. 9 is too low for their schedule.

Good lord, if the Cardinals' O-line is a '4', what's it take to get a 1?!

And of course I meant a '5', which is even more surprising.

Steven Jackson only a 7? He's a top 7 NFL back this year now that Linehan will give him the carries. That's at least an 8, probably 9. Anyone else think this is too low?
