2006 ArmchairGM Sports Awards
Welcome to the 2006 ArmchairGM Sports Awards!
This is a section where you can vote for the most deserving players of our awards.
You vote in the same AGMVC way that is now well known to long-time ArmchairGM Users. The national flag is just a little twist, as in some cases, US people might not actually win it! It might be nice to say what they did to justify winning the award, in your opinion.
You simply type:
~~~
# Pick 1
# Pick 2
# Pick 3
# Pick 4
# Pick 5
First gets 5 points, second scores 4 points and so on down to fifth scoring 1 point.
The awards can go to teams, players, or anybody unless otherwise stipulated.
Voting is open until Christmas, when the results will be tabulated by the end of the year.
In all awards, you vote for the Top 5, but the Sports Personality Award is the biggy, and you vote for 10 individuals there.
Simply click on a link on the navigation bar at the top to vote for your favourites.
[edit] Matters Arising
- David Ortiz is from the Dominican Republic, not the United States.
- USA does not have an international cycling team - they race in other teams that are make of bike dependent. Can people that have voted for this please change their vote.
- You cannot vote twice! Can Jgov05 please delete one of his votes from the Rookie of the Year vote!
- What is the nationality of Johan Santana? I have USA, and Dominican Republic - please can someone answer under here.
- Santana was actually born in Tovar, Venezuela. Do we have a Venezuelan flag?
- Yes, we do now. Well researched!
