The 2005 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 69-93. They scored 699 runs and belted 130 home runs to go along with a .256 batting average. The offense was powered by Richie Sexson, who led the team with 39 home runs and 121 RBI. Ichiro Suzuki led the team with 206 hits for a .303 average. Ichiro Suzuki had a great year on the basepaths with 33 stolen bases.

The team allowed 751 runs and had a team ERA of 4.48. Leading the team in wins was Jamie Moyer, with 13. Joel Pineiro struck out 107 batters to lead the team. Eddie Guardado was the team's best fireman, with 36 saves.
