The 2004 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 105-57. They scored 855 runs and belted 214 home runs to go along with a .278 batting average. The offense was powered by Albert Pujols, who led the team with 46 home runs and 196 hits. Scott Rolen was the best run producer with 124 RBI.

The team allowed 659 runs and had a team ERA of 3.75. Jeff Suppan was the winningest pitcher, with 16 games won. Chris Carpenter struck out 152 batters to lead the team. Jason Isringhausen was the team's best fireman, with 47 saves.
