The 2000 Kansas City Royals finished with a record of 77-85. They scored 879 runs and belted 150 home runs to go along with a .288 batting average. Jermaine Dye provided the power for the team with 33 homers. Mike Sweeney was the best run producer with 144 RBI. Johnny Damon led the team with 214 hits for a .327 average. Johnny Damon had a great year on the basepaths with 46 stolen bases.

The team allowed 930 runs and had a team ERA of 5.48. Jeff Suppan led the team with 10 wins. Mac Suzuki struck out 135 batters to lead the team. Ricky Bottalico was the team's best fireman, with 16 saves.
