The 1999 San Diego Padres finished with a record of 74-88. They scored 710 runs and belted 153 home runs to go along with a .252 batting average. Reggie Sanders provided the power for the team with 26 homers. Phil Nevin knocked in 85 runs. Tony Gwynn led the team with 139 hits for a .338 average. Reggie Sanders had a great year on the basepaths with 36 stolen bases.

The team allowed 781 runs and had a team ERA of 4.47. Andy Ashby was the winningest pitcher, with 14 games won. Sterling Hitchcock led the team with 194 strikeouts. Trevor Hoffman was the team's best fireman, with 40 saves.
