The 1997 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 90-72. They scored 925 runs and belted 264 home runs to go along with a .280 batting average. The offense was powered by Ken Griffey, who led the team with 56 home runs, 147 RBI, and 185 hits.

The team allowed 833 runs and had a team ERA of 4.79. Randy Johnson led the pitching staff with 20 wins and 291 strikeouts. Norm Charlton led the team with 14 saves.
