The 1997 Minnesota Twins finished with a record of 68-94. They scored 772 runs and belted 132 home runs to go along with a .270 batting average. Marty Cordova provided the power for the team with 15 homers. Paul Molitor was the best run producer with 89 RBI. Chuck Knoblauch led the team with 178 hits for a .291 average. Chuck Knoblauch had a great year on the basepaths with 62 stolen bases.

The team allowed 861 runs and had a team ERA of 5.02. Brad Radke led the pitching staff with 20 wins and 174 strikeouts. Rick Aguilera was the team's best fireman, with 26 saves.
