The 1990 Houston Astros finished with a record of 75-87. They scored 573 runs and belted 94 home runs to go along with a .242 batting average. The offense was powered by Franklin Stubbs, who led the team with 23 home runs and 71 RBI. Craig Biggio led the team with 153 hits for a .276 average. Eric Yelding had a great year on the basepaths with 64 stolen bases.

The team allowed 656 runs and had a team ERA of 3.62. Danny Darwin and Mark Portugal were tied for the team lead in wins with 11. Mark Portugal led the team with 136 strikeouts. Dave Smith was the team's best fireman, with 23 saves.
