The 1988 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 68-93. They scored 664 runs and belted 148 home runs to go along with a .257 batting average. Steve Balboni led the team in home runs with 21. Alvin Davis knocked in 69 runs. Harold Reynolds led the team with 169 hits for a .283 average. Harold Reynolds had a great year on the basepaths with 35 stolen bases.

The team allowed 744 runs and had a team ERA of 4.19. Mark Langston led the pitching staff with 15 wins and 235 strikeouts. Mike Schooler led the team with 15 saves.
