The 1988 Minnesota Twins finished with a record of 91-71. They scored 759 runs and belted 151 home runs to go along with a .274 batting average. Gary Gaetti led the team in home runs with 28. The offense was powered by Kirby Puckett, who led the team with 121 RBI and 234 hits.

The team allowed 672 runs and had a team ERA of 3.94. Frank Viola led the pitching staff with 24 wins and 193 strikeouts. Jeff Reardon was the team's best fireman, with 42 saves.
