The 1987 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 78-84. They scored 760 runs and belted 161 home runs to go along with a .272 batting average. The offense was powered by Alvin Davis, who led the team with 29 home runs and 100 RBI. Phil Bradley led the team with 179 hits for a .297 average. Harold Reynolds had a great year on the basepaths with 60 stolen bases.

The team allowed 801 runs and had a team ERA of 4.52. Mark Langston led the pitching staff with 19 wins and 262 strikeouts. Ed Nunez led the team with 12 saves.
