The 1987 Minnesota Twins finished with a record of 85-77. They scored 786 runs and belted 196 home runs to go along with a .261 batting average. Kent Hrbek led the team in home runs with 34. Gary Gaetti was the best run producer with 109 RBI. Kirby Puckett led the team with 207 hits for a .332 average.

The team allowed 806 runs and had a team ERA of 4.67. Frank Viola led the pitching staff with 17 wins and 197 strikeouts. Jeff Reardon was the team's best fireman, with 31 saves.
