The 1987 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 73-89. They scored 635 runs and belted 125 home runs to go along with a .252 batting average. The offense was powered by Pedro Guerrero, who led the team with 27 home runs, 89 RBI, and 184 hits. Steve Sax had a great year on the basepaths with 37 stolen bases.

The team allowed 675 runs and had a team ERA of 3.72. Leading the team in wins was Orel Hershiser, with 16. Bob Welch racked up 196 strkeouts to lead the team. Alejandro Pena and Matt Young were tied for the team lead in saves with 11.
