The 1985 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 77-84. They scored 686 runs and belted 150 home runs to go along with a .254 batting average. The offense was powered by Ryne Sandberg, who led the team with 26 home runs and 186 hits. Keith Moreland was the best run producer with 106 RBI. Ryne Sandberg had a great year on the basepaths with 54 stolen bases.

The team allowed 729 runs and had a team ERA of 4.17. Dennis Eckersley led the pitching staff with 11 wins and 117 strikeouts. Lee Smith led the team with 33 saves.
