The 1984 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 84-78. They scored 652 runs and belted 75 home runs to go along with a .252 batting average. David Green led the team in home runs with 15. George Hendrick was the best run producer with 69 RBI. Willie McGee led the team with 166 hits for a .291 average. Lonnie Smith had a great year on the basepaths with 50 stolen bases.

The team allowed 645 runs and had a team ERA of 3.58. Joaquin Andujar led the pitching staff with 20 wins and 147 strikeouts. Bruce Sutter led the team with 45 saves.
