The 1984 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 79-83. They scored 580 runs and belted 102 home runs to go along with a .244 batting average. Mike Marshall provided the power for the team with 21 homers. The offense was powered by Pedro Guerrero, who led the team with 72 RBI and 162 hits. Steve Sax had a great year on the basepaths with 34 stolen bases.

The team allowed 600 runs and had a team ERA of 3.17. Leading the team in wins was Bob Welch, with 13. Fernando Valenzuela led the team with 240 strikeouts. Tom Niedenfuer was the team's best fireman, with 11 saves.
