The 1983 Philadelphia Phillies finished with a record of 90-72. They scored 696 runs and belted 125 home runs to go along with a .249 batting average. The offense was powered by Mike Schmidt, who led the team with 40 home runs, 109 RBI, and 136 hits. Bob Dernier had a great year on the basepaths with 35 stolen bases.

The team allowed 635 runs and had a team ERA of 3.35. John Denny was the winningest pitcher, with 19 games won. Steve Carlton struck out 275 batters to lead the team. Al Holland led the team with 25 saves.
