The 1983 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 91-71. They scored 654 runs and belted 146 home runs to go along with a .250 batting average. The offense was powered by Pedro Guerrero, who led the team with 32 home runs and 103 RBI. Steve Sax led the team with 175 hits for a .281 average. Steve Sax had a great year on the basepaths with 56 stolen bases.

The team allowed 609 runs and had a team ERA of 3.11. Fernando Valenzuela and Bob Welch were tied for the team lead in wins with 15. Fernando Valenzuela led the team with 189 strikeouts. Steve Howe was the team's best fireman, with 18 saves.
