The 1982 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 76-86. They scored 651 runs and belted 130 home runs to go along with a .254 batting average. Richie Zisk led the team in home runs with 21. Al Cowens knocked in 78 runs. Bruce Bochte and Al Cowens were tied for the team lead in hits with 151. Julio Cruz had a great year on the basepaths with 46 stolen bases.

The team allowed 712 runs and had a team ERA of 3.90. Floyd Bannister and Bill Caudill were tied for the team lead in wins with 12. Floyd Bannister struck out 209 batters to lead the team. Bill Caudill was the team's best fireman, with 26 saves.
