The 1981 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 44-65. They scored 426 runs and belted 89 home runs to go along with a .251 batting average. Richie Zisk led the team in home runs with 16. The offense was powered by Tom Paciorek, who led the team with 66 RBI and 132 hits. Julio Cruz had a great year on the basepaths with 43 stolen bases.

The team allowed 521 runs and had a team ERA of 4.24. Floyd Bannister led the pitching staff with 9 wins and 85 strikeouts.
