The 1981 Minnesota Twins finished with a record of 41-68. They scored 378 runs and belted 47 home runs to go along with a .240 batting average. Roy Smalley led the team in home runs with 7. Mickey Hatcher knocked in 37 runs. John Castino led the team with 102 hits for a .268 average.

The team allowed 486 runs and had a team ERA of 3.98. Pete Redfern led the pitching staff with 9 wins and 77 strikeouts. Doug Corbett led the team with 17 saves.
