The 1980 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 74-88. They scored 738 runs and belted 101 home runs to go along with a .275 batting average. The offense was powered by George Hendrick, who led the team with 25 home runs and 109 RBI. Keith Hernandez led the team with 191 hits for a .321 average. Garry Templeton had a great year on the basepaths with 31 stolen bases.

The team allowed 710 runs and had a team ERA of 3.93. Pete Vuckovich led the pitching staff with 12 wins and 132 strikeouts.
