The 1980 Philadelphia Phillies finished with a record of 91-71. They scored 728 runs and belted 117 home runs to go along with a .270 batting average. The offense was powered by Mike Schmidt, who led the team with 48 home runs and 121 RBI. Pete Rose led the team with 185 hits for a .282 average. Lonnie Smith had a great year on the basepaths with 33 stolen bases.

The team allowed 639 runs and had a team ERA of 3.46. Steve Carlton led the pitching staff with 24 wins and 286 strikeouts. Tug McGraw led the team with 20 saves.
