The 1979 Minnesota Twins finished with a record of 82-80. They scored 764 runs and belted 112 home runs to go along with a .278 batting average. The offense was powered by Roy Smalley, who led the team with 24 home runs and 95 RBI. Ken Landreaux led the team with 172 hits for a .305 average.
