The 1976 Pittsburgh Pirates finished with a record of 92-70. They scored 708 runs and belted 110 home runs to go along with a .267 batting average. Bill Robinson and Richie Zisk were tied for the team lead in home runs with 21. Dave Parker was the best run producer with 90 RBI. Dave Parker, Rennie Stennett, and Richie Zisk were tied for the team lead in hits with 168. Frank Taveras had a great year on the basepaths with 58 stolen bases.

The team allowed 630 runs and had a team ERA of 3.37. John Candelaria led the pitching staff with 16 wins and 138 strikeouts. Bob Moose was the team's best fireman, with 10 saves.
